Contributing Positively to Community and Environment

Contributing positively to our communities and the environment is very important to Hearts Pest Management. We concluded that if we were to be a company that helps the community, we should start right away.  We should not let our business needs be an excuse for a lack of involvement. Companies shouldn't be waiting until they grow to the size of a Walmart or Microsoft, before giving back.  It really needs to be an integral part of how we do business. 

We fulfill this commitment by our involvement in building stronger communities, conserving natural resources, supporting non-partisan causes of customers and employees, and by growing our business with new "green" service options for home and garden.

Some of the projects listed below are in full swing, whereas others are upcoming or developing projects.  We look forward to sharing our progress in these endeavors.

Blood Donation Benefit

The need for blood never stops. Blood donations save lives.  It's as simple as that.   Hearts Pest Management now supports the efforts of local blood banks by encouraging blood donations of employees.  Our employees receive time off for blood donations and receive an extra vacation day for every four donations.

We are also in communication with the San Diego and Riverside blood banks to arrange a Saturday or Sunday blood drive.  If you would like to participate, please let us know, as we must insure at least 30 participants.

Highway Cleanup & Beach Cleanup

"Lets face the facts. If you are not part of the solution you are part of the pollution! There's really nothing cool about litter, it just smells and destroys the environment, those disgusting dumps take up a lot of good land that could be used for skateparks, and who wants to trip over trash when running out to catch a killer wave?"

Food Bank

Providing and distributing enough food to ensure that no one goes to bed hungry is one of the many goals of the San Diego Food Bank
